Touchscreens are widely used on a daily basis; on your cell phone, while your checking out at the grocery store, renting a movie at the kiosk, or even at the gas station. Touchscreens are a convenient technology we encounter every day. The first touchscreen was a capacitive touch screen developed by E.A. Johnson at the Royal Radar Establishment in Malvern, UK around 1965. From their beginning, touchscreens have come a long way and are now used by many OEM's for their interface solutions. Check out the various types of touchscreens on our website by click here. Two of the most common touchscreens are the resistive and the capacitive technologies.
